SeekData, Inc. is a privately held Orlando-based company. The company was founded in 1995 to develop GIS data products, address standardizer, geocoder and other specific software applications for the 50 States, Puerto Rico, the Pacific territories, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In 1997, after two years of R&D, SeekData successfully beta-tested and released its Puerto Rican data sets, address standardizer and geocoder. In early 2000, SeekData, performing as a subcontractor, was awarded an initial Task Order from the U.S. Census Bureau to address standardize, match and geocode Puerto Rican addresses as part of the 2000 Decennial Census.

Subsequent to the initial Task Order, SeekData was awarded additional Task Order modifications from the U.S. Census Bureau to solve a myriad of Puerto Rican address issues.

SeekData is proud to be the only commercial entity for which the U.S. Census Bureau's Geography Division has requested off-site access to Title 13 Data that was granted the access by the U.S. Census Bureau, meeting stringent security requirements in the process. SeekData updated the Census Bureau data, in compliance with the assigned Task Order, using its proprietary data files. It is important to note that SeekData's proprietary files were used to enhance U.S. Census Bureau data, and that SeekData files were not merged with Title 13 protected data.

SeekData's clearance for off-site access was granted on November 1, 2001. Full accreditation of the Orlando Site commenced on July 9, 2002.
